G.729 is an audio codec that reduces the size of an audio packet. Though it is not as important to reduce the size of a packet as before, we still see there are users who are required to add codec G.729 license to their Brekeke PBX license.
The patent license of codec G.729 license ended at the end of last year, and we now offer the codec license for free for all supported version license holders.
For the next version update, we will remove the license restriction for the codec G.729, so you will have access to an unlimited number of codec G.729 using Brekeke PBX. We will announce the changes once the update is available for you to download.
