This document will explain how to utilize Brekeke PBX with MegaPath.

 

Setting Up a MegaPath Account

MegaPath authorizes client calls by clients MegaPath account information.
Please obtain an account from MegaPath.

Brekeke PBX ARS Configuration for MegaPath
  • Brekeke PBX v3.1Click MegaPath from  [ARS] menu in Brekeke PBX Admintool, then click on [New Route] button and set

    [Route Name] 6501112222 or any other name
    [Password] 1234
    [Authentication User ID] test
    [Forward Extension Number] 4000(ex)
    [PSTN Number/DID Number] 6501112222
    [User Class] Brekeke PBX user extensions whose class setting is the same class as that set in this field can make outbound calls through this ARS route

  • Brekeke PBX v3.0 and earlierCreate ARS patterns IN and OUT for sending/receiving calls by MegaPath from Brekeke PBX Admintool > [ARS] menu > [New Route].

    The following setting will register your DID number to Brekeke PBX bundled SIP Server and MegaPath server.
    And default dial plan rule “To PBX From ITSP” will be applied to route the calls from MegaPath to PBX extensions set in Patterns – IN.

To route the calls from MegaPath to a Brekeke PBX extension which is set in v3, such as an auto attendant number.

[Patterns – OUT] section:
7-digit or more dialing number calls will be considered as outbound calls and sent to MegaPath server. The outbound call pattern may need to change as you need
DID number must be set in the [Deploy Patterns] > [From] header

Edit Variables:
Go to variable setting page from upper-right of ARS template page and enter the information for each variable.

  1. Enter the authentication user ID that your received from MegaPath in “v1”: test(ex.)
  2. Enter the authentication password in v2: 1234 (ex.)
  3. Enter the PBX Extension number for receiving incoming calls in “v3”:4000(such as an auto attendant extension)
  4. Enter the DID number in v5:6501112222 (ex.)
  5. Click on [Save And Update] button.
  6. Go back to Route Template page. Uncheck [disabled] button
  7. Click on [Save And Update] button.
How to Make Calls
  • Incoming call: Calling from PSTN phones to Brekeke PBX extension 4000 by dialing your DID number
    Dial as: 6501112222 or 16501112222
  • Outgoing Call: Calling from Brekeke PBX user extensions to a PSTN number in the US.
    Dial as: Area code + Landline number (a 10-digit destination PSTN number)
