Unable to install Brekeke PBX Service

Issue: 

Operating System prompts error
“Failed to install the BrekekePBX service. Check your settings and permissions.”

 

Cause:

Above error happens when previously installed Brekeke PBX has not been uninstalled or was uninstalled improperly.

 

Solution:
  1. Uninstall current Brekeke PBX
  2. From Start / Run, input command “regedit” to open Registry Editor
  3. Delete the following registry keys
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\BrekekePBX
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BrekekePBX
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run -> ApacheTomcatMonitor_BrekekePBX
  4. Restart the machine
  5. Install Brekeke PBX again
