Set Up IPv6 on Brekeke SIP Server Version 3
Setup at Brekeke SIP Server version 3
- Enable IPv6 from Brekeke SIP Server machine
- From Brekeke SIP Server admintool > [Configuration] > [System]->[IPv6],
[IPv6]: on - For Windows XP or Linux server machine,
manually input Brekeke SIP Server machine IPv6 address in field
Brekeke SIP Server admintool > [Configuration] > [System]->[Network] ->[Interface address x] with square brackets;
Such as, [2001::1234] - Restart Brekeke SIP server from admintool
the Brekeke server machine IPv6 address will show from page
Brekeke SIP Server admintool >[Start/Shutdown]
Setup at Client
Here we use Bria softphone as an example for registering to Brekeke SIP Server with IPv6
- Enable IPv6 at machine where Bria softphone is installed
- Download Bria 3.3 from http://www.counterpath.com
- From phone interface, click softphone/Account settings/Add, and add a new SIP account
- At Account tab,
User ID: phone SIP ID, such as, 100
Domain: [Brekeke_SIP_Server_IPv6_IP], enclose Brekeke Server IPv6 address with square brackets;
such as, [2001::1234]
password: authentication password the same as that set at Brekeke SIP Server [User Authentication] page
Display Name: any
Authorization name: authentication ID the same as that set at Brekeke SIP Server [User Authentication] page
select “Register with domain and receive calls” check box - At Transport tab, check “enable IPv6“
- click OK button
Bria registration record with IPv6 address will show from page
Brekeke SIP Server admintool > [Registered Clients]
