Import Self-Signed Certificate into Client Browser

In the case you use Self-Signed Certificate as server certificate, browser may show some alert messages. In order to remove them, you have to import self-signed CA certificate into your browser.

How to import

 <Chrome>

Step1. [Menu]->[Settings]-> Click “Show advanced settings”

Step2. [HTTPS/SSL] ->Click “Manage certificates”

Step3. Select [Trusted Root Certification Authorities] and Click “Import”

Step4. Following the import wizard, upload the certificate file.

 *if you created a self-signed certificate, by using the key generation tool at Brekeke web site(http://www.brekeke.com/support/self_signed_crt.php), you can use “self_signed.crt” file here.

Step5. After upload the certificate file, restart browser to affect the setting.


<Firefox>

Step1. [Menu]->Click [Options]

Step2. Select [Advanced] at left menu ->Click [Certificates] tab.

Step3. Click “View Certificates” button. “Certificate Manager” dialog appears.

 Step4. Import certificate file at [Authorities] tab.

*if you created a self-signed certificate, by using the key generation tool at Brekeke web site(http://www.brekeke.com/support/self_signed_crt.php), you can use “self_signed.crt” file here.

Step6. Check the box “Trust this CA to identify websites” and click OK.

Step5. After upload the certificate file, restart browser to affect the setting.
