Desktop Notification doesn't pop up, or is shown incorrectly
When using the Brekeke UC, a desktop notification appears in the following cases:
- Incoming message
- Receiving a meeting invitation
- Incoming call
- Forced sign out
Note that a desktop notification will not appear when the focus is on the Brekeke UC.
Known changes in Windows OS that affect the behavior of the pop-up message:
Under some browser and OS environment combinations, you receive a native notification on Windows OS instead of a desktop notification on the web browser.
- Windows 10 Version 1607 or later, or Windows 11
- Chrome 68+, Firefox 111+, or Microsoft Edge
Note that the Windows action center manages the native notification on Windows OS.
Solution (Setting on Windows OS):
In some environments, native notifications on Windows OS are hidden by settings.
The following settings are required to ensure native notifications appear under the environment where the Brekek UC is used.
- Settings > System > Notifications & actions
- Settings > System > Focus assist
For more information, refer to Windows help.
Solution (Setting on the browser):
Your browser settings also hide notifications.
Allow notifications from the address bar icon or site settings.
