What is the difference between “online” and “offline” activations?
For version 3.2 or later, we’ve added a new type of license activation method called “online activation.” When you install the new software, you will be asked to choose either “online activation” or “offline activation.”
The differences in these two options are:
Online Activation
– Requires the Brekeke software to be connected to the internet all the time.
– Allows you to transfer the license to as many servers as you need without making a request to Brekeke.
Offline Activation
– Enables you to activate the software without internet access.
– Requires you to request a transfer in order to move the software to a different server or to make changes to the machine. The maximum number of transfers is three and all transfers are subject to our License Transfer Policy.
